Listing Fees- We do not charge listing fees. YAY!!! Other Fees- Feature Auction, Homepage, Bold, etc (All these Fees are Optional). Fantastic! End of Auction Fees- We charge a flat fee of 4%. Alright! You need to click on register and fill out the form by creating a username and password. Then, you fill out the other information and when you are done, an email will be sent to you for confirmation. Once you have confirmed your account, you are ready to sell. Yippy! Of course you can buy things on this site silly. Just type in the name of the textbook or specific school related item you are looking for and hopefully you will find a user selling what you need. The seller should have stated preferred methods of payment that include paypal, moneybookers, visa, etc. If for some reason, the seller did not make this clear, then contact them to find out. If you payed with Paypal, you are in good shape. Try and contact the seller to see what the problem is. If this does not work and the seller does not respond after 72 hours, then file a resolution dispute with Paypal, so that you may get your money back. In this case, you may have to contact the seller to make sure there are no problems. If the seller does not respond and you still have not received your item, then you should file a complaint with www.ic3.gov, which is the government equivalent of internet fraud. To avoid these situations, use Paypal which ensures up to $5000 for seller fraud. This site is more like a specialty site that allows users to sell college textbooks and other items that are school related. Like Ebay, you are not permitted to sell anything illegal such as guns,drugs, body parts, and anything that would be considered inappropriate by federal law. If you decide to sell any of the above, your account will be terminated and depending on the situation, law enforcement may be contacted. You can sell your books including textbooks, solutions manual, hardback, paperback, etc. Also, you are allowed to sell laptops, school paraphernalia such as mugs, t-shirts, fraternity, sorority, etc. Calculators are acceptable. The selling of tests and term papers will not be allowed. Click on the tab for stores and just select a store subscription that fits the amount of items you are intending to sell and you are ready to go. It depends, if you are registering as an individual, then you do not need to. If you are registering as a business, then it is highly recommended that you do so. You can upload a picture of yourself or you can put a picture of something that is representative of who you are as a person. Bear in mind, no pornographic pictures or inappropriate pictures of any kind are allowed to be posted. If you post a picture that crosses the line, you will be warned to change it first, then if you continue to be stupid, we will suspend your account indefinitely. This also applies to the media you are allowed to upload with your auctions. You can pay the balance in increments or you can pay it all at once. It is up to you. Still, you have to pay the entire balance by the end of each month. Also, to pay the balance just click on the sold items tab on the left side of your user account and you should see a link that says pay for item fees. You can pay the balance for all the items you have sold or one at a time. Ok. if that is the case, then just send us an email and we will activate your account or just wait a few minutes and check your email again. You can still click on the Paypal link and you can pay using a credit card. You will see this option if you look to the left of the page after you have clicked on the Paypal link. You need to go to manage account on your member's area page and type in the email you use for your Paypal account. Then, you will be able to use Paypal as a direct payment option. Use this if you want to have buyers to see separate information that differs from the information listed on your Paypal account. I added my profile picture and updated the about me section in my member's area. Where can I see it? The picture you added and the about me section can be found next to your user id with every item you are selling. Just try and list an item and you will see the profile picture and a link that allows buyers to get an idea of what type of seller or person you are. First, you need to register. Then, go to member's area and look for post a wanted ad on the left side of the page. When you are setting up your auction, you will eventually get to a page that allows you to upload one video. But, you can only upload a video no larger than 2mb. Just click on personal information in member's area on the left, you can change it there, but you may be prompted to change your password. When prompted about your password change or new password, just simply type in the one you were using before or create a new one if you choose to do so. For Sellers: If you have not already read this in Members Announcements.... YOU MUST PAY FOR YOUR FEES AT THE END OF THE AUCTION BEFORE BUYER CAN PAY YOU. For Buyers: If you do not see a direct payment link, the seller you have purchased an item from has not paid his/her fees. So PLEASE REMIND THEM TO PAY THEIR FEES SO YOU CAN PAY THEM DIRECTLY USING PayPal. If not, you can always pay the seller offline using other payment methods but this is Highly unrecommended because PayPal is one of the safest ways to pay someone online. Those symbols are important. One of them is a link to their about me page, which gives you insight to the seller as a person. Another one is for their ratings which is really important and the check mark represents their status as a verified seller. Yes! 2 month auctions. That is the longest time you can list your item
on this site. But, I can't wait for item to end in two months, i need
it now! No need to worry. When you bid on these auctions, the auction
automatically resets to 7 days. If you need the item now, then you can
always make an offer with the seller to buy it now or end the auction. If you are listing an item and use the custom end time, make sure to customize the start time as well. If not, you will receive an error message. You will need to specify the date in both instances and time. |
