Skoolboy.com is an auction based website that shares similar features to ebay auctions. Therefore, you can bid or buy items now.

For Buyers

After you bid or buy an item, you should be sent an invoice by the seller that will outline the final bidding price plus shipping and handling charges and anything else. You will not be able to pay for the item until the seller pays for his/her end of auction fee for that auction. Once they pay for that you will be able to see a link that says pay for this item. After that, depending on the shipping details, you should receive your item from the seller no later than 2 weeks after it was purchased unless the seller stated otherwise. ***Very Important***, Make sure you sign up for a PAYPAL account before paying the seller because Paypal is the main method of payment on this site. We HIGHLY recommend you use Paypal because you are protected up to $5000 by Paypal. Other methods of payment include but are not limited to checks and money orders. But, we STRESS that you sign up for a free Paypal account so you could pay with a debit/credit card or your bank account instantly.

For Sellers

After the auction is over and there is a winning bidder, you will be able to send an invoice and after that you MUST pay for the end of auction fee before the buyer is able to pay you. Once they have paid you, make sure you ship the item to them in a timely manner or they will leave you negative feedback. Make sure to communicate with them by messaging them through your members area. We would like reiterate the importance of using PAYPAL as main source for buyers to pay you for your protection. Make sure that buyers are verified and get their address confirmed so that you are protected by Paypal. Once you have setup a Paypal account or want use as direct payment go to manage account to activate Paypal as direct payment so you can choose it when setting up your auctions.

Videos

You can post videos in your auction. Videos have to be less than 10 MB. You can make videos using Windows Movie Maker. You can make videos that showcase your textbooks, books, laptops, etc. It is another way to show the buyer the exact item and give them more assurance about what they're buying from you.

Suggest Categories

You will see a link that says suggest categories and you will be able to suggest categories which can be found on the left hand side in your member's area page. These suggestions are sent to us. If we feel that it is a good category, we will add it to the site.

Here we post information relevant to the site as well as other funny posts and articles related to world events. We encourage you to participate in the blog and comment on the posts.

sKoolBoY Stores

We have various store types. We have a free stores and stores that incur a monthly fee. The two most expensive stores are featured on the stores page. You can list up to 10 items on the free stores. We recommend that you create a store so you can list your items in your store and on the site because it increases your items visibility. To set up the store, just click on subscription setup to activate your store. Then, you can click on main settings to fill in information about your store name, description, etc. Afterwards, click on store pages to specify the store design and other information. Last, you want create custom categories for your store if you want to.

Profile Page

You can write information about yourself and add a picture as well. You can edit your profile page in your member's area and view it by clicking on a link to the right of your username in one of your auctions. You will notice that when you list an auction, there will be icons next to your username. One of the them is for your profile page, feedback page from buyers, and a star that means you are a verified seller. If you have a store, there will an icon of a shopping cart that buyers will be able to click on to see the items in your store.

Profile Picture

You will be able to upload a profile picture of yourself when you sign up or afterwards. To change your profile picture, go to Personal Information, it should have instructions on what picture size will fit.

How to Message Sellers/Buyers

Buyers can intially contact seller by sending them a private question or message. Once you send the first message, you will be able to message the buyer/seller from your member's area page.

Wanted Ads

You can post wanted ads on the site for a small fee. You can post ads for roomates, jobs, etc. Just do not post ads for things that are illegal such as kidney implants, drugs, guns, and more.
